At the age of 3, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would say “a tiger.” At 25, I’ve long since moved on to a more practical career choice: art.

I grew up awestruck by dinosaurs, dragons, and everything else both larger than life and large enough to fit me in its mouth.  I wanted Dragonology to be a branch of archaeological study just as equally as I was unsure whether or not James Gurney’s Dinotopia was real.  With the high school realization that art was in fact a valid career, I moved on to pursue a BFA at California State University, Fullerton, which I received in the spring of 2022. I developed a deep appreciation for traditional art, particularly oil painting. During that time, the human aspect of art began to truly shine through for me; through art, I have connected with others in ways I never could have imagined. I seek to spread this joy and connection in whatever way I can.

After graduating college, I spent two years living and working in New York City. While there, I was selected to participate in the highly competitive Metropolitan Museum of Art Copyist Program, where I was permitted to paint The Wyndham Sisters by John Singer Sargent, one of my favorite artists. I took classes at the infamous Art Students League of New York and Studio Slew to further hone my painting skills.

In 2022, I became the Lead Artist for the AR-focused tabletop gaming company Boosted Reality, LLC, whose first major project, RiftZone: Contact launches this year. Additionally, from 2023-2024, I worked with DrawnTogetherNYC to create live portraits, paintings, and illustrations for fantastic and diverse clientele.

I am now back in the San Francisco Bay Area and transitioning into the next phase of my career. As part of this, I am beginning to host my own plein air painting classes and workshops, sharing what I learned from some of New York City’s best working artists with those in my own community.
